SWBC Membership Terms and Conditions

1. Membership

Membership is for a minimum period of 12 months and is renewable on the anniversary of joining SWBC.
Payment, first month by a card and there afterwards via monthly Direct Debit instalments, with our GoCardless platform.
Please note that payment is for a minimum period of twelve months with options of membership renewal for a consecutive 12 months thereafter.
You will be classed as a SWB Connections Member once your first payment has been received, from which date you will be able to access all benefits and services that apply. Until payment is received you will not be eligible for the membership benefits and services.
If at any time during your annual membership a direct debit is missed, then you will be still be liable to pay the full amount of the remaining membership fee to SWB Connections
Membership automatically ceases on the liquidation, administration or bankruptcy of a member.
SWB Connections reserves the right to refuse membership of any business.

Applying online, by accepting these Terms & Conditions you agree to the following:
• You are verifying that you are who you say you are
• That the address provided is correct and can be verified
• The account number and sort code provided relate to your company that it is paying
• That you are authorised as a signatory on the bank account and with the company

2. Fees

We may change the amount of your monthly subscriptions from time to time. If we do, we will write to you at the address you have given us at least 30 days before any change takes place.
You may choose to pay your membership fees in monthly or annual direct debit payments. If you choose to do this, the whole year’s subscription is payable, and no refund will be given if you give notice of cancellation during the year.

3. Cancelling Your Membership

If you wish to cancel your membership you must:
• Give two months’ notice prior to your renewal date by emailing office@swbconnections.co.uk Any other form of communication will not be accepted. Cancellations will only be accepted once the above notification has been received.
• Contact your Bank/Building Society and cancel your direct debit to prevent further collections. SWB Connections cannot be held liable for any payments processed due to the failure of a member to cancel a direct debit either with SWB Connections or your Bank/Building Society.

If you cancel your membership we will not refund any membership fee paid in advance which relates to a period after cancellation.

4. Upon cancellation of your Membership
Please remove any reference to SWB Connections membership from your website, social media, premises, literature etc. with immediate effect. Your profile on the SWB Connections will be removed and any access to private forums will be revoked.

5. Events
All events must be paid in full prior to attending. If the full amount is not paid then you could be refused entry. If there is a significant reason as to why payment cannot be made prior to an event you must contact the Events or Finance team immediately.
Any event cancellations made less than 3 days prior to an event will not be refunded.
SWB Connections reserves the right to cancel any event without notice and without reason, in such cases any monies paid will be refunded in full or can be transferred to a future event.

6. Website
By visiting and interacting with swbconnections.co.uk or southwestbusinessexpo.co.uk you acknowledge that all copyright, trademarks and database rights in the content of this site remain vested in thebestof Exeter Ltd t/a SWB Connections.
Any attempts to harvest our database is strictly forbidden and may lead to your access to the members’ section of the site being temporarily or permanently denied. Database theft is a criminal and civil offence. We actively monitor access to our database and will act to defend our intellectual property rights in respect thereof.

7. Code of Conduct:
We value the participation of each member of the south west business community and want all members to have an enjoyable and fulfilling experience. Accordingly, all members are expected to show respect and courtesy to other members, delegates/attendees at our events, exhibitors and the team at SWB Connections organisers and volunteers throughout all events and during your membership. Inappropriate behaviour or discrimination of any kind is not acceptable.
